The Best Shit We Got All Year: 2015 in Review

Best_Shit_Brad_SM
Once again, Nick and I have decided to close out the year by counting down our favorite gets (ie, items we bought or were gifted) from the last 365 days. But before we do that, I’d like to thank everyone for reading, commenting, sharing, and doing all of the other wonderful things that you do. And of course, a massive thank you to our wonderful advertisers – without your support, there wouldn’t be a Well Spent. And so, with that said, here’s the best shit we got all year.

1991 Magazine – Your favorite magazine’s new favorite magazine. The concept in and of itself is brilliant, but the photography and content is crazy good too. It’s one of those magazines you keep around for years, happily re-reading every time you sit on the john.

Beckett & Simonon Suede Bomber – Suede is one of my favorite fabrics, and bombers are one of my favorite types of jackets. This brown is so rich you can practically taste it, and it tastes delicious (I mean, not really).

Engineered Garments Banded Collar Long Shirt – Quite possibly my all-time favorite shirt. So good I actually bought it in white, too. It probably helps that I’m 6’3 (humblebrag), as I think it was made for taller people.

Meermin Chelsea Boots – Boy, have these have already gone through a hell of a grind this a year. They’re comfortable and they go with everything, so they get worn with everything. But they’ve stood up to all of it, and have plenty of life left too.

New Balance Guitar 998 Sneakers – It was the color scheme on these that reeled me in, but the shape is perfect for my foot size (12) and shape (wide as fuck.) My casual stroll go-tos.

orSlow Button Down Shirts – I wasn’t kidding when I said I had an orSlow addiction. Not only are they the best fitting shirts I’ve ever owned, they’re also some of the best made. And if you buy via Rakuten, you can get ’em for pretty cheap too.

Japan Blue JB0401 Tapered Jeans – If you guys still haven’t visited Denimio, you’re missing out. Great Japanese-made products (like these Japan Blue JB0401 Tapered Jeans) for incredible prices ($105!).

American Trench Superfine Merino Watch Caps – I honestly didn’t realize that some beanies were better than others, until I got my American Trench Watch Caps. The fit, the feel, the styling – truly the best knit hats I’ve ever owned.

Epaulet Tennis Trainer Lows – Of all the minimalist sneakers I’ve owned (and there have been many), Epaulet’s are my favorite. They’re the most comfortable, they look fantastic, and they’re an incredible value.

Winter Session Large Zip-Top Tote – Not only is my Winter Session Zip Tote the perfect size for any trip under two weeks, it’s also so damn beautiful that I hang it on the wall like a piece of art when I’m not using it. And did I mention it was only $150?
