Nigel Cabourn is one of the few designers who can break the “less is more” rule, while still producing pieces that are both understated and classic. That’s because he does it subtly, emphasizing utilitarian details inspired by vintage military gear. Case in point, his UK-made Aircraft Jacket looks like a basic raincoat, but actually boasts an encyclopedic set of features, including rich cotton oilcloth, coiled cord drawstrings, dual underarm vents, brass snaps, an interior pocket and a hood that can be rolled down. Luckily, Frances May still thinks less is more, and has marked this bad boy down 65%.
