N’East Illustrated, Vol. 36

I couldn’t be more proud of my friend Antonion Ciongoli. His new collection for Eidos Napoli, titled “The Correspondent,” is stunning, as is the collection’s lookbook. Antonio has created a range that is elegant yet comfortable, classic yet individual, tailored yet unstuffy. This photo and the pieces in it are a great example of how the collection is reminiscent of the past, yet feels modern and natural.

This is another photo from the lookbook that I adore. The textures, the layers, the location. To accurately sum up why this collection is so wonderful, I’m going to borrow a quote from Antonio’s recent interview with Details, “When I look at the most stylish men I know – both past and present – I see, more than anything, an understanding of context. Simple, beautiful tailoring will always be a valid option for stylish men.”

I wouldn’t wish summer away yet – at least not publicly – but fall is my favorite time of year. So when I saw a sneak peek of Drake’s autumn/winter scarves on their Instagram, I got giddy. My husband and I have a couple like this one that we share because, well, no one makes a scarf quite like Drake’s.

Taylor Stitch has a great thing going with their Good Acre Collection. It’s practical, durable, and thoughtfully designed. The new Good Acre Chore Shirt is made with 7 oz. Mt. Vernon duck canvas that is rinsed for softness, so you can wear it year-round. It also has double elbow reinforcements, a pen loop in the left chest pocket, and tin buttons.

MattHranek
My friend Matt Hranek has a knack for taking photos that transplant you from your desk to another world. From my experience working on photoshoots as a stylist, I have a huge appreciation for seeing a photographer in action, which is one of the reasons I love this photo of Matt shooting film in Argentina.
