These new Waxed Cotton Freeman Jackets from Freeman Seattle are great for anyone who likes waxed cotton more in theory than in practice (like yours truly). Made in Seattle, the jackets are crafted using a Scottish fabric that’s embedded with an oil-free wax, instead of coated with the sticky wet stuff you find on Barbours and Filsons. Not only does this give the fabric a dryer feel, it also makes it 4x more water-repellent. Add to that a full cotton flannel lining, brass snaps, and an adjustable hood, and these beauties are pretty much perfect. Two colors are available.
