No one wants to be the parent of that kid. So, with every parent-teacher conference comes a sinking feeling that you’re going to be told your little angel is actually the booger-eating, pants-pooping bully of the class who just won’t leave poor little Landon alone. Parent-teacher conferences can be a living hell. Thankfully, we’ve never had a bad one, at least, not yet. And I’d like to think that my consistently dope parent-teacher conference outfits have a played a role in that. When the teacher sees that even though I’m a responsible father, I can still make a lightweight mohair cardigan look sexy, it lets the tension out of the room. My “Tell Me Anything” notebook says I’m listening intently, while my casual suede sneakers and striped BD shirt say, but I’m willing to go off-topic too. Another crisis averted (avoided?), and my son can yet again skirt by in life without learning the repercussions of his actions, just like his daddy.
