Cool Dads™ | The Pumpkin Patch

Welcome to Cool Dads™, a series in which our resident cool dad, Nick Grant, helps us all get dressed.

Remember back in our day when “going to the pumpkin patch” literally meant going to a field, picking out a couple pumpkins, and being on your merry way? My, how times have changed. Today, an excursion to the pumpkin patch means your entire day is fucked, bucko. Shit’s a carnival now. Literally. Luckily though, you planned accordingly, knowing you were going to need to be comfortably layered – and liquored – up.

A lightweight fishtail parka you can easily pack away if need be, sitting atop a cozy oversized sweatshirt. Some frayed hem denim and leather boots you can easily scrub the dirt and grime off of. And, because the patch only provides fun for kids, a flask, since that, and your freakishly good style, are the only things that’ll keep you sane. But it’s fine, because your kids are going to get to run around, ride all the rides, eat pumpkin and apple flavored treats, then go home and sleep 15 hours straight.
