1991 Magazine

1991 was a good year for me. My little brother was born. The Redskins were on their way to the Super Bowl. And I began to spread my social butterfly wings as I entered the 1st grade. But it was also a good year for the culture at large, as evidenced by A Year Magazine, a clever new publication from my good friend, and one of the great editors of our time, Noah Johnson. Each issue focuses on a single year, in this case 1991, and features original art, photography and writing about some of the key events – this one includes big names like Ari Marcopoulos and Nick van Woert, pontificating on Whitney’s Houston’s breath-taking rendition of the Star-Bangled Banner, and the god, Keanu Reeves’ Emmy-worthy performance in Point Break. So if 1991 was a good year for you too, or if you just like cool shit, reminisce with me and pick up a copy today, before the issue is gone like the year it celebrates.
