I already own (and love) the boot version of these, so I guess I don’t really need the low-tops. But hot damn do I still want ’em anyway. The Moc Toe Oxfords from Thorogood are union-made in an employee-owned factory in WI, using domestically sourced vegetable tanned leather and Vibram wedge soles. Built to withstand a lifetime of abuse, the shoes come equipped with a composite shank, cotton drill vamp lining, and a removable shock-absorbing insole (I should also mention that they’re crazy comfortable). Rhode Island’s WHARF has them, and the price per is about $100 less than similar *cough* rip-off *cough* styles from other brands.
