These Gibson Shoes from the storied British footwear maker, Solovaire, have leather uppers, Goodyear welted “sole-of-air” rubber soles, come in a whopping 12 colors (those green ones, tho), and cost around $160 per. They actually kind of remind me of my high school history teacher, whose name was Mr. Gibson. Like these shoes, which are handmade in a 130 year old factory in the UK, he too was full of history. And, he also had a very ruddy complexion, kinda like those oxblood ones. And, uh… he wore shoes? Whatever, I don’t have a third thing. But these are great.
