I might be in the minority here, but I’m totally stoked for Fall, especially now that chunky knit sweaters are starting to pop up online and in stores. This one from Knowledge is made in Scandinavia (which is awesome) out of 100% organic cotton, making it a perfect transition piece from Summer to Winter.
This picture, taken by Christopher Fenimore for Four-Pins, reminds me of the last days of summer. The Tretorn Nylites in the image clearly have seen a lot of wear and tear over the last few months. They look like my own pair, which are equally broken in and off-color thanks to a season’s worth of rain, beach and city.
The 10engines Trucker Hat is a collaboration between Boston’s Ball and Buck and good friend James Fox (the man behind 10engines). A fellow Vermonter, James does our home state proud with the hat’s golden brown duck canvas crown and camo lined brim. A great pick up for this Fall.
I’m obsessed with this shirt from FWK by Engineered Garments, which is available from one of my favorite shops, Arrow & Arrow. The 19th century silhouette is feminine and comfortable, while the broadcloth is a durable classic. I could happily wear this for the rest of my life and forego all other shirts.
I love Ramblers Way’s knits. They’re a great source of warmth and comfort during the winter here in New England. The richly dyed wool is really stunning, and it’s also sustainably grown and harvested in the USA. I also think it’s great that the founders are the same people who started the Tom’s of Maine toothpaste brand. That’s a lot of awesome from one couple.
