Few brands are as aptly named as Best Made Co. Not only are their goods impeccably crafted, they design for hearty folks and not those who pass the time sitting around on their laurels. Proof in point, this shot of Morgan, a heli-bushpilot sporting Best Made gear and apparel while traversing Canada’s Great Bear Rainforest with the Best Made crew. I’m so thrilled about Well Spent’s new series, Lady Spent, written by my friend Rita Mehta. She’s got an eye for the best, so be prepared to want everything she spotlights. For her first post in the series, Rita talked about Tradlands. Not only are the co-founders of Tradlands some of the nicest folks around, they also make incredibly high-quality apparel for women that quickly become wardrobe staples. Their shirts really stand out in a crowd for their impeccable fit and quality.
I have yet to bring any Aether into my closet, but I’ve had my eyes on this brand for years. Their outdoor apparel is technical yet on the modern and clean side. They also have one of the best brand blogs around, with stories like this one about three girls biking across Canada for two weeks in Aether moto jackets.
It feels only right to do an illustration of Ursa Major’s incredibly fun holiday gift sets. I’m ringing in two years as their Community Manager, and have loved every minute of it. Original photo by the amazing Jules Davies, and excellent modeling by Chelsea Parrett.
