My dear friend Kate Jones (aka Ursa Major) makes the most incredible jewelry, and her latest collection might just be her best yet. Every piece is like a small work of art. I’ll definitely be picking up more than a few of these.
I’m really loving the shoes and bags from Nisolo. Not only are they great looking, but the brand’s totally transparent supply chain is designed to support makers in emerging economies.
As a former stylist, I have to give Phil Cohen credit for the impeccably styled lay-downs on his Instagram feed. He makes styling a pile of clothes and accessories into a visually appealing grid look easy – and it’s not, trust me. I discovered his feed through this photo Ledbury shared on their own feed (a great brand worth checking out, if you haven’t already).
Topo Designs and Chaco collaborated on a pretty trippy collection of products, all of which are made in the USA. Those sandals have summer music festival written all over them – and I want ’em.
My friend Mikael Kennedy shot a beautiful lookbook for Jungmaven. If these photos don’t make you want to strip off your down jacket, throw on one of Jungmaven’s hemp tees, and move out west, I don’t know what will.
To see more of Mitchell’s work, check out her portfolio site. You can also email her directly if you’re interested in having her draw something for you (very wise move).
