N’East Illustrated, Vol. 29

NESxWS_Armor_Lux
I wrote a post about the history of the striped shirt for Kaufmann Mercantile this month, and if I wasn’t into stripes before, I’m officially addicted now. This is one of the images that accompanied the post, and it features Lisa Przystup of James’s Daughter Flowers wearing a striped shirt from Armor Lux.

NESxWS_Miller
My go to cheap beer, Miller High Life, just launched limited edition bottles designed by Soulsight in Chicago. The logos are re-imagined designs based on old packaging, labels, etc.

NESxWS_OSB
Oak Street Bootmakers just launched a new shoe called the Calfskin Bit Loafer. Horween leather, metal hardware, hand-stitched in Maine – these bad boys are lookers.

NESxWS_Shelter
The Collective Quarterly crew are currently working on their second volume in Mad River Valley. I’ve been lapping up their Instagram photos like a thirsty dog and missing my home state more than ever. Although not an epic shot of autumnal mountains, this picture Karie Reinerston of Shelter Protects took of her denim clad legs on a comfy down bed had such a peaceful sense to it, I had to recreate it.

NESxWS_Shinola
This month I co-hosted an event with Shinola at Steven Alan in Boston, and got to spend some quality time with their watches. The timepieces are incredibly sharp looking and well-made. One of my favorites is the Runwell in navy. Sadly, it’s too big for my wrist.
