Last month, media marketing specialist Sharon Coulter launched the #GrabYourWallet movement, a campaign calling for the boycott of all companies that sell Trump products and / or have ties to the family.
Since Trump’s victory last week – secured via the electoral collage, not the popular vote – an updated spreadsheet has been circulating on Twitter which includes not only the names of 50+ retailers such as Amazon, Nordstrom, and Marshalls, but the contact information for their customer-relations and PR departments, as well as a list of Trump-free alternatives.
Given that Macy’s and manufacturer Philips Van Huesen dumped Donald’s apparel line after he called Mexican’s “rapists” at a campaign rally last year, Coulter hopes the boycott will have the same effect on Ivanka’s eponymous apparel and accessories collection – which grossed over $100 million dollars in 2015 – considering the hypocrisy of its feminist branding strategy in the midst of her father’s unabashedly sexist and racist campaign.
The full list of brands to boycott is copied below. You can read more about the #GrabYourWallet movement at The Cut. And the #GrabYourWallet spreadsheet can be viewed here.
