Eric Heins, the ever affable and crazy-talented maker behind Corter Leather, recently sent over one of the label’s new Slim Utility Belts, and I gotta tell ya, it is fan-effing-tastic. Hand cut from 14 oz. vegetable-tanned leather, and finished with nickle-plated metal hardware, the belt is as sturdy as it is beautiful (that is to say, very).
I’ve been wearing mine nonstop since it arrived, and it’s already darkened at least three shades (thanks largely to my bringing it along during my last trip to the beach, and laying it out on the towel next to me #nerdalert).
However, it’s not only great looking and well-made, it’s also super versatile. Seriously:
What’s even better, is that while it’s bright now (making it ideal for summer), it should be good and dark once the fall rolls around. In other words, it’s perpetually seasonally appropriate. I mean, c’mon, $55 for a belt that’s never not in season? You can’t beat that. Kudos Eric on an excellent new addition to the range.
