Doek Sneakers

So, yes, these Doek Sneakers are $145, which is a lot. For sure. But before you totally write them off for being too expensive, a few things to consider. First, the canvas they’re made out of is woven using the “Kurume Kasuri” technique, which takes three whole months. Second, the rubber soles are vulcanized via a kiln baking process that permanently bonds them to the shoes, making them incredibly durable. And third, every pair comes with a natural cork insole that will both mold to the wearer’s foot over time, and, control moisture. Add to that some beautiful, minimalist silhouettes, and I dunno, $145 doesn’t really seem all that bad to me.
