Bracelet Market Bracelets

Though I usually prefer to keep things a bit more on the subdued side when it comes to what’s happening on my wrist, there’s a small part of me that’s taken on a big liking of the bracelets from Los Angeles’ Bracelet Market. Handcrafted by the designer from an array of vibrantly colored leathers, the bracelets are a nice way to add a little touch of go-to-hell to your summer get-ups. And, best of all, not a single one is over $5.00 (say what?), so no need to feel bad if you only wind up wearing yours intermittently (which I no doubt certainly would). Read More »

Thai Wristbands Waxed Cotton Bracelets

I admit these are a little hippie-ish, but if there’s any season to get in touch with your inner granola, summer is it. (Right guys? Guys? Hello?) The Waxed Cotton Bracelets from Thai Wristbands are handmade in Chiangmai, Thailand using naturally waxed cotton thread. The color options are plentiful (over ten), the price is super low (around $7.00 per, with free international shipping), and the profits go to a good place (directly into the pockets of the people that make them, according to Fair Trade standards). Joe V. Leather Braided Bracelets

As far as summer accessorizing goes, I’m a big proponent of the bracelet. And though beads are having a moment right now, I myself have always been partial to leather. So, the day I stumbled across the Braided Bracelets from Los Angeles’ Joe V. Leather was a very good one. Handcrafted one-at-a-time by the designer, the bracelets are made from Kangaroo leather (yep), and come in an array of elaborately knotted styles (I’m loving that top one). Prices range from $35 – $79 per, and each style is available in five sizes and eight colors. Read More »

What Knot Shop Bracelets

Few items are as intrinsically summery as the Turk’s Head bracelet. And though there are a bevy of makers to choose from, for my money, none are better than Minneapolis’ What Knot Shop. Crafted one at a time by the designer from a variety of fibers (many of which are hand-dyed), the bracelets offer an artisanal take on a classic summer staple. On top of being well-made, WKS’ bracelets are also dirt cheap, with prices averaging well under $5 per (you can even order a 10 pack for $20). Read More »
