Hessnatur Organic Cotton Sweater

As much as I love wool, there are definitely times when I can do without the itchiness. Enter the Organic Cotton Sweater from Germany’s Hessnatur. Handcrafted in a Fair Trade certified factory in Turkey from low-impact dye treated 100% organic cotton, the sweater offers all the warmth of wool, but with an infinitely softer hand (also, could it be more socially responsible?)(a Friends reference? really?). Details include raglan sleeves, tall button-up collar, and ribbed cuffs and hem. Read More »

Three, its plaid liner is made from 100% virgin wool instead of cotton, so it’s warmer. And four, the Hessnatur jacket costs almost $100 less. Read More »

The thing is, there really is no other label offering sustainable apparel that’s as affordable and well-designed as theirs. But, you have to be able (willing) to look past the sloganeering and cheesy model shots to see it. So, hopefully this post will help you to do that. Read More »
