I don’t know if any of you guys have been following my sneaker review series on Complex/Sole Collector, but I’ve taken it upon myself to see how “lifestyle” shoes perform when used for the sports that inspired them. Normally, these Portuguese-made AMI Runner Sneakers would be candidates for testing, but I’m a little leery. Not because I don’t think they’d do well, but because I’d be afraid of messing them up, and not getting to wear them casually after the testing was complete. That said, maybe my editors will let me see how they “perform” as I walk to and from my car, or as I gallivant through the city showing them off. Yeah, I think I’ll pick up a pair on sale from The Next Door, and pitch them that.
