How can something be super lightweight, but super warm at the same time? It’s an enigma to me, but not to the good folks at Battenwear. Their Quilted Guide Parka is made in the US from water-resistant nylon ripstop and stuffed with two layers of 60-gram PrimaLoft insulation for maximum toasty-ness with minimum weight. Actually, that’s pretty straight forward, lightweight filler = lightweight jacket. Why couldn’t I figure that out?
