Almond Surfer + Craftsman Chinos

Of all the different ways a new(-ish) brand can establish itself, offering a collection of California-made basics that are priced at half what most other labels charge is a pretty damn good one. These Surfer + Craftsman Chinos from Almond are cut and sewn in the Golden State out of 100% cotton twill. The fit is slim, the details are subtle, and the price per is just under $100. Two colors are available.

    Hey guys,

Long time follower, first time commenter. Thoughts on their Chambray shirts? Great price points in an oversaturated market. Any personal experiences? The price looks almost too good to be true, especially if the quality and pedigree was to be similar to en Engineer Garments or LF NYC shirt.

@Steve – I haven’t gone hands on with the Almond work shirts, so I can’t say for sure. That said, I’m wearing an EG work shirt right now, so I can def vouch for that. And I’ve seen the LF work shirts in person, and they’re pretty fantastic (and thick as a jean jacket).

    The pockets are nice.

I think many Floridians would object to you calling California the sunshine state. ;)

@Danny – Thanks for catching that. Mixed up my warm-all-year-round-state-nicknames.

If only they made a different length inseam…
Being 6’4 these do nothing for me.
    Shucks.

Hey guys I’ve felt the chambray shirts in person at Oakland surf club and they are nice. It’s no EG but nice for the price. You get what you pay for here. No idea about fit as I didn’t try it on though.
