Mollusk Windbreakers

There’s a lot to like about these Windbreakers from San Francisco’s Mollusk Surf Shop. They’re made in the USA from water repellent 65% polyester / 35% cotton poplin. They’ve got a great, retro-inspired design, that includes raglan sleeves, patch pockets and a drawstring hood with leather toggles. And – here’s the real kicker – they’re only $132 a pop, which for a US-made 60/40 jacket, is a pretty damn good. Three colors are available.

Thanks for the post. I have visited Mollusk a few times, and it really is a nice shop. The people who work there are always super friendly, they let my wife and I bring our dog inside, and they even have a small gallery space where they display original art.

Oh I’ve seen these in person and I can assure how well made they are and how great they look.
I’m particularly a fan of the navy blue.
The new line they released is really great overall.

Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t a 60/40 jacket 60% cotton and 40% nylon? This jacket seems to have it the other way around.

Mollusk doesn’t refer to it at as a 60/40 jacket as far as I can see – they just refer to the proportions of the material.

Do you guys know what the sizing is like on these jackets?

  • Ruben

    Jason,

I emailed them asking about sizing. Haven’t heard from them yet.

Runs true to size but is a slightly slim cut.
