What is a “bell and whistle” on a shirt?
@Stephen – According to idioms.thefreedictionary.com, bells and whistles means, “the things that something, especially a device or machine, has or does that are not necessary but that make it more exciting or interesting”
In the case of these work shirts, those things are dual flap pockets on the chest, a point collar, pearl-style buttons and a pleat-free back.
How does one really know that it’s Japanese Fabric?
