A cheesier blogger than myself might describe the Chavito Chukkas from Nisolo as a “step in the right direction.” Handcrafted by underprivileged artisans in Peru, the boots not only look good, they also help a community in need to support itself. In other words, the Chavitos are – as a cheesier blogger than myself might say – “helping to give poverty the boot.” Fortunately, I’m not that cheesy. But, I still think the Chavitos are pretty great.
