Wings + Horns Westpoint Chinos

To be honest, I’m not entirely sure why Wings + Horns named their 100% cotton twill Westpoint Chinos after America’s most famous military academy. I mean, the pants are made in Canada. They’re way, way slimmer than standard military issue. And their features – brogue button fly, side slash and jetted back and watch pockets – don’t match up at all. That said, they are pretty great looking, aptly named or not. And, they’re only $98 on Yoox right now. So, you know, ten-hut, or whatever.

    I take it you’ve never been to Vancouver? There is a neighborhood called West Point Grey and since Wings + Horns are from BC I’m guessing that’s where the name comes from. It’s a very appropriate name for a trendy, upscale clothing company since the neighborhood is possibly the most expensive in all of Canada. Doubt you could find a house there for anything less than $2 million.

    @Chris,

    Not only does the brand draw a lot of inspiration from military history/clothing but I’m sure that’s the first thing everyone outside of Vancouver thinks when they hear “West Point”…
