The Friday Find: Cro’Jack Belay Jackets

What’s on sale RIGHT NOW.

Don’t let the less than stellar product shoots fool you – these Belay Jackets from England’s Cro’Jack are actually pretty great (some better shots here and here). They’re made in the UK from British Millerain fabric. They feature a chambray lining, slot buttons and an adjustable hood with leather toggles. And, they’re currently 40% off. So, still a bit of a gamble, but the odds are definitely in your favor.

‘Belay Jacket’ is the wrong name for this.

Looks more like a military parka, or hunting coat.

Belay jackets need to be shorter in the front – after all, you’re BELAYING! And, the implication of the need for a jacket is that you are climbing in cold weather, so it should be insulated.

Still, a nice-looking jacket. Just change the name.
