As I’m sure many of you know, searching for a pair of reliable chinos can feel a lot like being on a wild goose chase. Which is why we should all give thanks to Denmark’s Norse Projects for saving us the trouble. Made in the EU, tapered to perfection and available in a wide palette of heavy-weight Italian twills, the label’s Aros Heavy Chinos are like a freshly laid golden egg (get it? It’s another goose idiom). And at a mere $126 per (without the VAT), it doesn’t take much gold to get ‘em.

Does anyone know how tapered they are? Am debating whether to try these or Left Field NYC’s Khaki Japanese Military Twill Tailored Chinos. Anyone familiar with either?
@ Bryan – measurements for the Aros at Need Supply – http://needsupply.com/mens/new-items/aros-heavy-chino-in-red.html
The Left Fields are slimmer.
I just saw these, in green, at Welcome Stranger in San Francisco. They look very nice in person — the quality is apparent. I agree that finding great chinos is more difficult than you would think.
Outlier’s 60/30′s have caught my fancy. Recently got my 4th pair. Outlier fever.
These pants look and fit great. It took me a long time to find a good pair of slim army-green chinos for a reasonable price ($100 for mine), and these pants were exactly what I had been hunting for. Unfortunately I got in a bad car accident a few weeks ago and the paramedics were forced to cut these pants off my legs with a pair of scissors :0(
RIP my Norse Projects Aros Heavy Chinos
@ Andres – Whoa. Hope you’re okay.
Anyone in the US looking for the Aros, we’ve got a great selection available in several sizes still – http://www.woodlandsshop.com/collections/norse-projects
