Fidelity Wool Shirt Jackets

Let’s have some fun with this one. Guess how much these Fidelity Wool Shirt Jackets cost. Some things to consider: they’re made in the USA by a company that’s been around for over 60 years. They’ve got a jacket-weight 85% wool / 15% nylon shell and a 100% cotton lining. And their features include a spread collar, flap chest pockets, working cuffs and anchor buttons. Okay, you ready? The answer is… $105. Pleasant surprise, no? Two colors are available, and they run small, so size up one.

Solid. I still prefer my thrifted and eBayed Pendleton board shirts which are, weirdly, a bit more stylish–love the no-button pocket flaps. And Pendleton wool holds up really well over time.

Question: All the blogs I have read about these shirts seem to indicate they run small (and likewise all the measurements on most ‘fashion’ retailers) Whereas Fidelity’s own site https://www.fidelitysportswear.biz/EZ/EZSizeComp.aspx (I think) lists the chest size on a Medium as 48″ – which is roomy to say the least!

Any ideas why this discrepancy is? two different products? Just asking cause I want to buy online! Thanks.

@ Tom – The products on Fidelity’s site are their main line goods. The shirts linked to in this post are from the brand’s Gerald & Stewart range, which is their fashion-forward off-shoot. Hence the much smaller sizing.

@Brad Aha, thanks for clearing that up! I did wonder.
