Pointer Banded Collar Jackets

When a 100 year old company that’s named after a canine breed comes out with a new product, you’d think the old dog / new tricks jokes would write themselves. But, as I have yet to come up with a single one in the last hour, it appears not. So, I’ll just move on, tail between my legs. The Banded Collar Jackets from Pointer are made in Tennessee, entirely from American materials. Identical to the brand’s chore coats, short of the addition of a banded snap collar, the BCJs are a handsome update to a much-loved classic. So good, so good. I own the orange brown coat AND I’m a smaller guy. Being a smaller guy in the states is nearly impossible to buy jackets, and they truly save my life with their xs fit that so well cut it fits like a glove.

@HK or Brad- what size do you recommend for a 36short/14.5×32 BB ESF fella. The sizing chart has to be way off:

    X-Small: 30 – 32

    Small: 34 – 36

I really enjoy the new special makes. Hoping they make the Shawl Collar in an Indigo canvas.

Keep up the great work Brad!

I’m a medium in Gitman Vintage shirting, and 15.5 in BBros ESF shirting, and the size small Pointer fits me perfectly.

      Hope that helps,

I actually prefer the oversize collar ones, but that must put me in the minority. Nevertheless, Pointer Brand is cool–and affordable.

I’ve had the duck-cloth jacket for two years now and I couldn’t be happier with it. Great layering piece, fits well over a sweater or by itself, AND it’s good lookin’. Seriously.

I wear a small in most “generic” brands’ slim fits.. (jcrew.. club monaco..etc.)
What size would one recommend for this jacket? Would like it to be snug but not Tight
