Aran Crafts Fishermans Rib Crew Neck Sweater

The colder the weather, the chunkier the sweater. Am I right? Right? Anyway, the Fishermans Rib Crew Neck Sweater from Aran Crafts is knit, cut and sewn in Ireland from 100% pure new wool. Fashioned after classic naval jumpers, the sweater is made with an over-sized rib stitch, which gives it both a nice heft, and exceptional warmth. There are five colors available, and the price per is low enough to make you do a double-take.

Any idea how the sizing works on this? I’ve been tempted before but it kinda looks like hell on the model.

Yeah, their model shots are deplorable.

Size down one. You should be fine.

Yeah, it’s funny how much better the product looks when it’s out of proximity of those shots.

    Hi Brad,

In regard to sizing, do you know if the jumpers are true-to-size? I think I would have to order from the women’s section because there is no extra-small size (34 or 36).

    Cheers!

Size down. Not sure if the women’s have a different, more fem cut or not.

There is no female, tailored or slim-fit cut on this right here. The cut could be described as “classic cut”. I’m 1,88m and Size M fits perfect, the sweater is still a little bulky on me. Laying flat on the ground:
From top to bottom on the back: 65cm
From arm pit to arm pit: 55cm
From arm pit to sleeve end: 48cm.
