A good example of the right way to integrate sustainable materials into an existing product range, the classically styled Hemp E-Street sneakers from Vans have 100% hemp uppers and are made with non-toxic water-based inks and glues. Part of the label’s Surf Collection (ie, shoes that are better suited for farting around in than skating), the sneakers are a nice option for summer (insert pun about reducing global warming while the weather’s warm). Additional features include a Vanslite footbed, ergonomic Flexi Vulc gum rubber outsole, and a crazy affordable price.

Huge fan of the ‘New Era’ skate shoe. So these are right up my street! Love the contract in colour. They look like a great summer shoe, nice and lightweight. I will have to get myself a pair before they sell out! Great stuff.
Thanks for the note Gillan. Glad you like ‘em.
