The SS11 collection from New York’s Baron Wells is officially (finally) for sale on the brand’s website, and it’s looking to be one of the label’s strongest yet. Amongst the many solid pieces that make-up the new range (did someone say pleated shorts?), the real stand-outs – for me, at least – are the new contrast pocket shirts. Meticulously crafted in NYC’s garment district from summer-weight Japanese cotton fabrics, the shirts, and their eponymous detail, offer a nicely subtle shift from the norm, without being too flashy about it. All the signature BW particulars are there – button down club collar, convertible button / cufflink cuff, split back yoke, yellow grosgrain tag – and the fit, as always, is nice and trim.
