True story: back in the 1960s, a fledgling So-Cal surf-rock group dubbed themselves the “Pendletones,” in homage of their favorite Oregon-made wool shirts (which, at the time, were the outer layer of choice amongst California surfers). Upon the release of their first major LP, however, the band had their name changed for them by their record label. The new name: the Beach Boys. The moral? Never let anyone tell you a Pendleton can only be worn in winter (also, eff a major label). As previously mentioned, the Eco-Wise Board Shirts are assembled in Mexico using Cradle to Cradle certified wool that’s been colored with non-toxic and biodegradable dyes. Four of the shirt’s ten colorways are now 45% off, and many sizes of each are still in stock. And just in time for summer. Have a great weekend.
