A Closer Look: Archival Clothing Shawl Cardigan

Up close and personal with the fantastic Shawl Collar Cardigan from Archival Clothing.

Anyway you style it, this thing is awesome. I almost like it more than my AC Rucksuck – almost. In case you didn’t already know, the Archival Clothing Shawl Collar Sweaters are knit, cut and sewn by Centralia Woolen Mills, using domestically sourced new pure wool, and finished with deadstock buttons from CWM’s own archives. The fit is roomy without being sloppy, and the quality is top-effing-notch. If you’re still in the market for a new sweater (which also works great as an outer layer on not too chilly days / nights), I highly recommend giving the Archival Clothing Shawl Collar Sweater a go.

Great to finally see this on someone, I was always intrigued but you can never tell based on product shots alone. Need to pick one up, and that rucksack..

      Hey Angelo,

Just make sure to check the posted measurements. The sweater is generously cut (old school American sizing, not “Americana” sizing), so it’s a little roomier than most new stuff.

Damn, that is sharp. Agreed with Angelo: this looks so much better worn than in the flat product shots. XS Navy is on my wishlist. I’ve been lugging an AC field bag, and it’s been great.
