Part 2 as promised. Since I already gave my opening schpeel in Part 1, I’ll skip any (further) introductory sentences, and just get to it. Quick side note: if you haven’t seen it yet, check out my holiday wish-list over at the always excellent N’East Style. Thanks for reading, and have a great holiday!

Happenings: Left Field NYC
When I first contacted Left Field NYC founder Christian McCann about doing an interview, I had no idea he had to endure so much to keep his brand alive. His answers were an education, not just about LF, but also about the current state of the American garment industry. Get ready for the 2011 Left Field takeover – you heard it hear first.

Working World Alpargatas.
Technically, this was a blog post, and not a feature. But, I wanted to include it anyway, as the Working World Alpargatas were one of my favorite finds of the last 12 months. All the heart of TOMS, but for half the price. Can’t mess with that.

Label Spotlight – Symmetry & LAYERxlayer
I’ve heard rumor that Symmetry and LAYERxlayer are collaborating on some upcoming projects, so, I’ve decided to list their Label Spotlights together in anticipation of that. Two new brands, doing exciting new things. I’m looking forward to seeing what they come up with.

On Good Authority: Archival Clothing
In the last year, Archival Clothing went from being of my favorite blogs, to one of my favorite brands. They also turned in a hell of a guest post. A must for anyone who’s ever felt bored with their wardrobe.

Being There: NorthernGRADE
NorthernGRADE provided my first opportunity to meet many of the people I had been interacting with online for the last year, and it was a blast. Curators J.W. Hulme Co. and Pierrepont Hicks did a fantastic job organizing the event. I can’t wait for the next one.
