Orvis Hemp/Organic Cotton Chambray Shirt

I have to admit that, up until a short while ago, I harbored a less than favorable view of Orvis (I believe “a frumpy dad’s paradise of China-made banality” was how I referred to the chain at one point). But, I recently decided to look past my prejudices and give the store a second chance (mainly because I wanted to go drool on the Barbour), and thank goodness I did. If I hadn’t, I would never have discovered the company’s excellent Hemp/Organic Cotton Chambray Shirt. Just one of the many pieces that comprise the label’s surprisingly broad range of very wearable (and super affordable) eco-friendly items, the HOCCS is made in Mauritius (don’t worry, I had to look it up too) from a proprietary hemp / org. cotton blend that’s woven in the region. Details include two buttoned chest pockets (one with a flap, the other with a pen slot), contrast grosgrain tape inside the neck and an embroidered fly detail on the inner placket. Consider my opinion officially changed.
